Athens Treadmills
Model 006 Series Treadmills
FEATURES:
- Animal-friendly stained white oak wood construction for longlasting durability indoors or outdoors.
- Free-turning sealed deep-groove ball bearings used throughout.
- Hardwood planks on the web are installed in a stairstep configuration. Flat configuration available by special order.
- Sealed web rollers run on a flat iron track with a hardwood return track.
- The main drive sprocket is fabricated from reinforced steel plates and accurately straightened and run-in with the web prior to leaving the shop.
- The flyweight governor/brake system uses standard automotive components and is integrated with the running-in-oil gearcase featuring antifriction bearings and medium carbon steel gears cut in our shop. This feature allows the user to start and stop with a lever control and adjust the speed by turning the handwheel.
- Standard output shaft is a 7/8” diameter keyed parallel shaft rotating at about 500 RPM at 2 MPH horse walking speed.
- Other attachments available include:
– Air Compressor
– 12 and 24 VDC Battery Charging Alternators

OPTIONS:
- Feed trough for horses to eat while working and an incentive to mount the treadmill.
- Stained white oak mounting stairs.
- Air compressor
- Hydraulic pump using the gearcase as a reservoir makes a good remote power output with a hydraulic motor. Works good for a washing machine.
- Transport kit: wheels and trailer hitch as shown.
- Rubber tread covers for shod horses.

CAUTION:
Veterinarians praise this machine because it exercises the horse straight in line with more load on the rear legs rather than like a round pen which mainly strengthens the inside legs.
However, until the horse becomes acquainted with the machine, it is important for the operator to make sure the horse does not get hurt or over exert itself.
