Avery Rice Land Sulky Plow

This plow was designed expressly for rice growers. It saves them the delay and expense of rebuilding three-wheel sulky plows of the ordinary type in order to adapt such plows to their work.

It will turn furrows as shallow as two inches or as deep as eight inches, doing high class work in soils wet or dry.

There is ample clearance under the beam, and the bottom lifts sufficiently high to cross levees without tearing them down.

A special feature is a landside 24 inches long, to which is attached a wide, angle-steel flange that supports the plow and prevents it from cutting into soft ground. This landside, which takes the place of the rear wheel ordinarily used on sulky plows, prevents the gathering of trash in wet and foul land such as is generally encountered in rice fields.

The beam is perfectly balanced between the two carrying wheels, and by reason of the point of the share being directly in line with the center of the wheels the plow turns hog wallow land and uneven ground to perfection.
