Allis-Chalmers All Crop Combines and Assorted Implements

James “Tim” Hendrix of Arkansas contacted me many months ago looking for help to find people who might be interested in his farm equipment collection. We spoke on the phone and when he said the magic words Allis-Chalmers All Crop my ears perked up. This particular make and model of small, pull-type, motorized combine is highly sought after for its suitability to be pulled by small tractor or by draft horses and mules. Along with that, many believe this unit had the widest and the most superior range of cleaning adjustments and settings. I personally looked for 30 years to try to find a working or restorable All Crop for our own use, but to no avail. Now, here I was talking to a Journal reader who said he had two of them in his barn he wanted to sell! So I told him, send me pictures and info and we’ll let the readership know what you have. His health issues and my own harried schedule prevented that from happening until today.

Along with the what turns out to be three combines, Tim has two sets of team harness, forecart, seed drill and other implements.

To launch our new on again off again series, Barn Finds, we share these pictures with you and invite you to contact Tim.

If you have old farm implements or tools stored away in sheds or hidden in the bushes and wish people to know about them. See the comments on the Shavings page under Barn Finds. Maybe we can help you. Thanks all, LRM
