End-Gate Step for Wagons

Be it known that I, William Heaton, have invented certain new and useful improvements in end-gate steps. My invention has for its object to provide simple economical step attachments for use in connection with wagon end-gates.

When the end-gate is swung down, the hinged extension comes from a vertical to a horizontal position and is held in the latter position by the links connecting it with the rear end sill.

Wagon Gate

Be it known that I, William Hopper, have invented a new and improved wagon gate. My invention relates to an improvement in wagon gates, and particularly to gates for wagons which are used in hauling and storing grain.

In operation, after the wagon body has been hoisted and tilted to dump its grain, the cord will be pulled by the operator or attendant. This will cause the gate to slide upward in the guides, which engage the opposite vertical edges thereof, to uncover the opening and allow the grain to run out.

End-Gate for Wagons

Be it known that we, Edgar C. Litchfield and Henry L. Litchfield, have invented a new and useful end-gate for wagons. This invention relates to end-gates for wagon-boxes and the like; and the objects are to provide a simple and effective device having the characteristics of a combination shoveling and dumping end-gate.

Figure 1 shows the improved end-gate in locked condition. Figure 2 is a similar view, showing the gate arranged for shoveling purposes. Figure 3 is a side elevation of the improved end-gate arranged for dumping purposes.
