Tuki’s Hubcap

A few years back we traded John and Twinka Lupher a lovely bay filly, out of our Belgian stallion, for rebuilding our old corral. Twinka bred Betsy (above) to a Jack and they got a beautiful mule foal they named “Hubcap”.

Levi and Tuki, Twinka’s children, took charge of most of “Hubcap.” My dear departed buddy, John, is smiling down from heaven watching these three ruffians trying to out smart each other.

Hubcap’s growing up to be a beautiful mule so it seemed only logical to enter him in the Mr. Longears competition in Roseburg, Oregon. Here’s Tuki proudly displaying the fourth place ribbon for the weanling class.
